Morning Talk: COANA – from research to startup

💿💿 ABOUT
Since 2019 Martin Toldam and Benjamin Barslev have been working on COANA in their sparetime. COANA is a business-to-business company that creates a software tool. The tool can best be explained using the metaphor of a house!

🏛🏛 When you build a house, you put it together using elements such as bricks, cement and windows. These things do not get changed over time. Well, mostly anyway!

🛠🛠 But other elements are changed, when they need an update, such as a kitchen. And this is where we draw the comparison to software tools. Software often needs an update. But sometimes these updates do not match the existing system. And this is where COANAs product comes in handy. COANA has built a tool that makes an automatic connection between a software update and the existing system. The tool automatically makes a fit between the two, if they don’t fit to begin with.

👉🔌If you are a hardcore software developer maybe you can do the work yourself. If not, COANAs software makes it easy to update to new software automatically.

🔎🔎 They started COANA as researchers at Computer Science, and now they both work full time. This is also why the title of this talk is ‘From Research to Startup’.

🛠💰📈 In the process of working part time to full time, and receiving grants, they also learned a lot along the way. Now they have received enough funding to work full time on Coana, and the sky is the limit as far as the future goes!
