Are you ready to develop solutions that will shape the future of healthcare? The 9th CASSINI Hackathon brings together students, researchers, creatives, and innovators from all disciplines to develop bold new solutions that improve healthcare and well-being using space technologies. Whether you come from tech, business, health, humanities, or design, your skills and ideas are needed

🔹 What is the CASSINI Hackathon?

The CASSINI Hackathon is a unique pan-European event taking place simultaneously in 10 countries. Over an intense weekend, participants will leverage space data, signals, and technologies to develop innovative concepts and products in the healthcare industry.

 This edition’s challenges:

1. Monitoring Disease Outbreaks and Health Risks
2. Smart Emergency Healthcare Delivery
3.Mental Health and Well-Being

Prizes & Mentoring

At the CASSINI Hackathon, you have the chance to win twice – first at a local level and then at the European level.

Local Prize (Aarhus University): €2,000

 European Prizes:

1st place: €5,000
2nd place: €3,000
3rd place: €1,000

The top 3 teams at the European level will also receive 6 months of expert mentoring (100 hours) from industry leaders in the space sector, designed to help turn their hackathon project into a successful business.

 Who Can Participate?

The CASSINI Hackathon is open to everyone! Whether you’re a student, entrepreneur, engineer, designer, researcher, or just an innovator with a great idea, you’re welcome to join. No prior space expertise is required!

Important Dates

 28 April – 9 May | Big Ideas Campaign
A series of online evening sessions designed to spark your creativity and help you meet potential teammates. Learn about key space technologies and how they are applied in the EU Space, Defence, and Security sector.

11 May | Registration Deadline
Make sure to register yourself and your teammates before the deadline!

 16 – 18 May | Hackathon Weekend
The main event! Join hundreds of participants across Europe as you develop innovative solutions and compete for the top prizes. Each location will select a winning team to advance to the next stage.

21 May | Demo Day & Awards Ceremony
The winning teams from each country will pitch their solutions to a panel of experts, who will select the top 3 teams in Europe. This event is open to the public!
